George Benneh Mensah brings almost two decades of extensive research and publishing experience with 70+ peer reviewed articles and book chapters with international journals to his role as Executive Director, Board Secretary and Senior Regulatory Specialist of the Africa Institute for Regulatory Affairs LBG. Holding a Master of Philosophy degree in Development Studies and academic/research background rooted in  law, digital regulations, telemedicine and digital health regulations, George is well-positioned to offer strategic and technical direction, overseeing the credentialing and overall quality of AIFRA’s journal publishing and Conference proceedings. He also leads AIFRA’s research and advisory efforts at the intersection of regulation, law, and social development in Africa.

 

As the Chief Researcher at EGRC Ghana LLC, a Research, Innovation and Consultancy Firm in Ghana, George spearheaded high-impact investigations and counsel for clients in the private and public sectors. He leverages this experience as he sets and implements AIFRA’s research agenda and growth strategy. George’s 70+ publications spanning law, healthcare, emerging technologies, telemedicine and digital regulations informs AIFRA’s policy positions and programs.

 

Having spent almost a decade working in various academic roles at a Reputable Higher Education Institution like the University of Cape Coast, Ghana,  George grasps the rigor and patience vital for developing regulatory capacity and governance frameworks in Africa. This hands-on experience is invaluable as AIFRA partners with governments, universities, and organizations across the continent to elevate regulatory standards and dialogue.

 

With expertise bridging sectors like healthcare, technology, and education, George is ideally suited to lead AIFRA’s interdisciplinary approach, which seeks regulatory excellence at the intersection of public welfare, innovation, and sustainable development. His blend of legal, technical, and social scientific prowess drives AIFRA’s objective of crafting robust, context-specific regulatory guidance and capacity-building programs for African nations.
