Africa Journal For Public Health, Medicine and Nursing (AJFPHMN)

Scope and Delimitation:

AJFPHMN publishes research on public health interventions, healthcare delivery, nursing practice, health workforce development, and health systems strengthening in Africa. Interdisciplinary studies examining social, economic, cultural, and policy dimensions of health are encouraged.

 

Submission Requirements:

 

  • Original research, reviews, commentaries, and policy briefs
  • Maximum 6,000 words for research articles, 4,000 for others
  • Structured abstract of 200-250 words
  • Ethical approval statement for human/animal subjects research
  • Disclosure of funding sources and conflicts of interest
  • APA style referencing
  • Plagiarism limit 15% excluding references
  • AI assistance capped at 25%, must be disclosed

Review Process:

 

  • Double-blind peer review by 2-3 health experts
  • Initial screening by editors for scope, ethics, quality
  • Detailed feedback provided to authors in 2-3 weeks 
  • Prioritized review for studies with time-sensitive health implications
  • 2 revision rounds permitted before mandatory resubmission
